IMR Professional Development Short Course: Geological Inputs to Mine Planning

This 2-day short course is designed for junior- to mid-level mining engineers and metallurgists and introduces the role of geologists and geology at each stage of the mine planning process, from exploration to extraction. Topics include a brief outline of ore deposit geology; geometallurgy; the nature, use, and abuse of geological models and block models; mine planning based on geology; ore control; and other operational factors.
The course is taught by a group of academic and industry geologists and mining engineers. No prior knowledge of geology is required. Cost is $600.
